In November 2017, IMPORTFOOD conducted a follow-up visit to the Chinese companies who participated in the 2017 Russia Siberian Economic Forum . The entrepreneurs expressed that the activities organized by IMPORTFOOD were very beneficial in understanding the local food background and situation in Russia, which would be helpful for their future imports from Russia. They also hoped that IMPORTFOOD could organize similar activities in the future. According to the companies, they showed great interest in Russian products such as flaxseed oil, flour, sunflower oil, and beer during the business trip and planned to negotiate cooperation with Russian enterprises. After the event, many Russian Siberian food companies proactively contacted IMPORTFOOD, hoping to export to China with the assistance of IMPORTFOOD.
